Not that there’s ever a good time to be a prostitute, but now is especially not a good time to be a prostitute in Baltimore. See here and here.
I passed the WJZ van on Nanticoke Street on the way home this afternoon. They were across the street from Amanda Bishop’s memorial. Here’s the segment the did tonight.

The way our esteemed police department solves homicides is that they, well, do nothing (unlike the police show of the same name). The police pick off the low hanging fruit, the dealers off the street, and then wait for them to start talking knowing full well that if a dealer snitches on a murderer they get a reduced sentence. It’s not like Baltimore City has Grissom locked away in a lab somewhere and is comparing DNA samples.
This systems plugs along marginally but it only works if a murderer is involved in drugs and gangs. Some creepo from the burbs strangling the tutes isn’t going to factor into the process. We’re going to lose a lot more women long before the city po-po removes its collective self from the Royal Farms and actually gets into the street and asks the ladies that are still alive about the car the dead ones were last seen in.
I feel a massive clusterfuck is upon the long summer ahead of us. AH, stay out of the street. The Pigtown Johns are a dumb and aggressive bunch.

I’ve reconsidered what I said. Go ahead AH, stand in the middle of the Pigtown streets. The strangling perp deserves to meet up with you. That will save the city the cost of an expensive trial.
